Precise, measurable, computerised spinal rehabilitation — targeting the muscles conventional equipment simply cannot reach.

At Workstrong Physiotherapy we invest in the David Spine Solution because we believe our patients deserve measurable, lasting results — not just symptom management.
The David system was developed in Finland in the 1980s by David Health Solutions after a key clinical insight: the vicious cycle of back pain → inactivity → muscle deconditioning → more pain can be carefully and precisely reversed. The patented hip-lock mechanism immobilises the pelvis so only the target spinal muscles are loaded — something no standard gym machine or physiotherapy equipment can replicate.
We use this technology for chronic back and neck pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, disc problems, core stability, and spinal deconditioning — producing outcomes that are not just felt by the patient, but objectively measured at every session.
See It In Action
This short overview explains how the system works and why it produces results that conventional physiotherapy alone cannot always achieve.
Full machine overview — watch each device in the David Spine Concept explained in sequence:
The Clinical Process
A comprehensive Digital Spine Analysis (DSA) measures your strength, mobility and range of motion across six planes of spinal movement, establishing your individual baseline.
The EVE software auto-generates a personalised 16–24 session program based on your test results and goals. Your program is adjusted every session based on real performance data.
2–3 sessions per week over 8–12 weeks. Each device gives you real-time biofeedback — speed, range and load all guided automatically. Sessions typically 45–60 minutes.
Re-testing at the end of your program produces a second DSA. You receive objective data showing your strength and mobility gains — not just a patient satisfaction score.
The Key Differentiator
Conventional exercise equipment and standard physiotherapy cannot isolate the deep spinal stabiliser muscles. The David patented hip-lock mechanism is what makes this possible.
Immobilises the pelvis so only the target spinal muscles are loaded. Impossible to replicate on conventional gym or physio equipment.
Extension, flexion, rotation, lateral flexion — both lumbar and cervical — are all measured and trained. Most programs target only 1–2 planes.
Every rep, every session, every patient — stored and analysed. RFID login, real-time biofeedback, adaptive loading, home programs and outcome reporting in one platform.
EU Class 1m Electromechanical Rehabilitation Devices — the same regulatory standard as medical equipment, not gym machinery.
The Equipment
Each device targets a specific plane of spinal movement with the same precision fixation and computerised measurement.
Targets the lumbar extensors in the sagittal plane. The hip-lock isolates the erector spinae and multifidus — the most important stabilising muscles of the lower back.
Watch G110 in actionTransverse plane rotation targeting obliques and deep rotators. Often the most neglected spinal direction in conventional rehabilitation.
Watch G120 in actionIsolated abdominal loading with hip-flexor elimination — trains the rectus abdominis and anterior stabilisers safely and effectively.
Watch G130 in actionTargets neck extensors and lateral flexors. Used in cervical rehabilitation, post-whiplash recovery and cervicogenic headache management.
Watch G140 in actionFrontal plane stabilisation targeting the lateral spinal stabilisers — critical for functional balance and scoliosis management programs.
Watch G150 in actionThe most neglected neck muscles trained in isolation. Significantly improves cervical rotation range and reduces chronic neck pain.
Watch G160 in actionMulti-function hip and knee loading device. Supports full-chain rehabilitation integrating the lower limb with spinal stability training.
Learn more about G210Isolated hip extensor loading. Addresses the gluteal weakness pattern commonly associated with chronic lower back pain.

Clinical Evidence
The David Spine Solution has been evaluated in peer-reviewed studies across multiple countries and populations. Here are the key findings:
235 Patients — India, 2015 (PMC4540835)
Pain score dropped from 4.8 → 0.6 and Oswestry Disability from 39% → 15% in just 6 weeks of treatment (p=0.0001).
447 Patients — Netherlands, 2025 (Real-World Data)
Oswestry Disability improved by 5.9 points (effect size d=0.91), trunk strength improved in all 6 directions (median effect d=1.13), fear of movement reduced by 5.5 points.
~30,000 Patients/year — Germany (Insurer Data)
78% reduction in sick days for chronic back pain patients. Return on investment of 4.7:1 for health insurers.
Adolescents — Romania, 2024
67% pain reduction in adolescent back pain patients, with 80–100% quality of life improvement reported.
Conditions We Treat
The David Spine Solution is suitable for a wide range of spinal conditions across all age groups — from active adults to the elderly and post-surgical patients.
Note on post-surgical patients: The David Spine Solution can be used for post-surgical spinal rehabilitation with appropriate surgeon clearance. Programs are typically commenced within 4 months of surgery under supervised conditions.
Common Questions
A computerised, medically certified spinal rehabilitation system with 8 specialised machines that target the deep stabilising muscles of the spine — muscles conventional equipment cannot isolate. Each machine guides you through precise, measurable exercises with biofeedback.
Ideal for chronic back or neck pain, disc injuries, post-surgical rehab, and those who haven't responded to conventional physiotherapy. Also suitable for older adults and people with limited exercise tolerance.
Most patients see significant improvement over a 12–24 session course. Your physiotherapist will recommend a personalised programme based on your condition and goals.
